GM deals Hummer to Chinese buyer

http://money.cnn.com/2009/06/02/news/companies/gm_hummer/index.htm?postversion=2009060215

General Motors Corp. has signed a deal to sell its Hummer Truck unit to a Chinese Industrial Company. This happened a day after GM filed for bankruptcy. The company did not identify the buyer nor the price, saying only that the deal would close out in September. As part of the deal, some GM plants will continue to build the Hummer brand for the new owner, at least for awhile. The company said its Shreveport, La., plant will keep building Hummers for the new owner until at least 2010. In conclusion of the bankruptcy, there will be a loss of 20,000 jobs, and dozen facilities closed. I chose this article because it was on every news website I went on so I decided to click on it because it seemed interesting. I disagree with what is happening because the Chinese are going to make a profit off an American vehicle. This just shows that the United States' economy is in a downfall. The information was presented fairly, it was easy to comprehend. I would use this source again, it has a lot of news.
