Dear period 2, I started reading all your separate posts and grading them separately, but there were 50 late blogs posted which would have taken me at least 2 to 3 hours to grade at the busiest time of the school year. I can't be that inconvenienced because you couldn't be bothered to do your work on time.
All of you will get a grade of 4 for each post. You won't see comments, but it will show up in your report card grade. I may decide not to give credit for individual blogs, but that won't be recorded.
The comments were terrific, but they were too late to be grade.
I really enjoyed your posts, even the late ones. :) Have a great summer.

School Budget Cuts!!!
School sports and after school activities such as football, baseball, band, and driver's education are being taken away from students. Not only do after school programs get cut but in school technology such as heaters and office refrigerators are being removed from the school to save money on electricity. Some school are put down with tough decisions like shortening the school year to save money as well. Losing sports and band activities can affect the life of a student who is trying to pursue a job or career in that matter.
i chose this story because i believe strongly in school having after school activities such as sports and band are important for a student to have available to them and because I've been involved in sports for numerous years. I like and agree with this article because ts gets straight to the point of what's going on in our school systems.

Gas price increase and Rising
Oil per barrel has now increased to $69. Gas prices from last month have increased 46 cents. These oil prices have been rising since march 21st but it isn't as bad as last year because around this time last year gas prices were practically $4 dollars a gallon. So hopefully gas prices dont get as crazy as they were.
i chose this story because gas prices are a big deal because i know i drive a lot and am always pumping gas and i know a lot of other people do too. This article was okay it didn't have to much to say in terms of gas prices increasing and the statistics. I might use this site again.

Slight Gains puts Stocks to a Positive Finish
The slight gains in the stock market although wasn't much but still nearly put the stock market in the green for 2009. It put Dow up 400 points and 200 point to GM just yesterday.
i chose this article because its getting closer to 12:59 and i need a couple more to go. this article was okay didn't think to much of it. I probably wouldn't use this site again because i wasn't very impressed by it.

3 Banks Nearly exiting TARP!!!
Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase & Co. and American Express Co are very close to exiting TARP. All three companies are close to their goal in repaying the government back their bailout money. Next week will be announced all the banks that can repay their money. It is important for banks to exit TARP and once payed off things can start getting better.
i chose this site because I needed somewhere to get another story. This site gave good factual detail. i would use this site again because it had good information.

Al Qaeda deputy criticizes Obama's Egypt trip
Al Qaeda deputy criticizes Obama's Egypt trip
http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/meast/06/02/zawahiri.obama/index.html?eref=rss_topstories
What is this article about?
"On the eve of President Obama's highly anticipated speech to the Muslim world, al Qaeda's second-in-command issued an audio statement saying the president of the United States is not welcome in Egypt." All Obama is trying to do is restore the balance between the two nations, relations and image of America. But the terrorist network's deputy leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, said those relations cannot be mended as long as the administration maintains its alliance with Israel. This is what the world is still like. They still cant trust us for the things former presidents have done.
Why did you choose this article?
I choose this article because it just shows you how the world still cant get along and has hatred towards America even when we have a new president. I want to see what the outcome would be with Obama and Egypt.
Do you agree with this article?
I disagree with the option the group "AL Queda" has choose because Obama is trying to get closer to the other nations but i believe Bush has made look to have a "bad face" a bad appearance.
Was the information presented fairly?
yes i believe it was presented fairly. I agreed with the point of view and the ideas of the author.
Would you use this source again?
yes i would use this source again i never used the cnn.com source before it gives you an abundant amount of information.

Housing Recoveries Threatened by Detroit Layoffs
GM over the next eighteen months will be closing fourteen plants and three warehouses which leaves over twenty thousand employers will be laid off. Because of this situation the housing recovery that was taking place is now threatened because if no one is working that will increase the amount of available home which will lead to many foreclosures. With all the foreclosures it will really hurt that community.
i chose his article because the title seemed interesting. i would use this site agin because it was very detailed and gave many examples and comparisons.
