From March to April the U.S. consumer spending fell. After a revised 0.3% fall in March market expectations were 0.2% so it was a little better when the fall was only 0.1%. Versus the euro and the yen, the U.S. dollar had some losses. According to a gov't report, consumer spending rose 1.5% annual rate in the first quarter.Personal income rose 0.5 %, biggest one since last year in May. In April disposable income rose 1.1 percent.
I chose this article because consumer spending has a big impact in the economy. This is not a agree or disagree aticle because they are current facts. The information was presented fairly and i would use this source again because it has many things about the economy.
