Swine Flu Emerges at Worst Possible Time for Global Economy
This article is about the swine flu emerges in the world at the time that we have a recession. Government and business are taking extreme caution with this epidemic. There has been over 150 killed in Mexico because of the swine flu. Cases of the swine flu have been reported as far away as Asia. There is also a school in Queens, St. Francis Prep School who have reported many cases of students becoming sick with this flu. Government believes that the flu came from when the students took spring break and went to Mexico. This is going to put a HUGE demise on our econ my. How are kids going to go school? how are kids going to be trusted at a day care center? Is it really safe to work anymore?The reason i choose this article is because it popped out and brought interest into me. I want to see how the world let alone America is going to come back from this epidemic.I really don't agree with this flu at all but we really cant deny students from going to a certain place on spring break. The information was very straigth forward and present fairly.I Would defiantly use fox news as a source again.

Tyler, Thanks for using your real name! :-D I agree with you that this was an interesting article. I also agree that it was very straightforward and fair -- which actually surprised me because Fox has a reputation for being conservative. I particularly liked all the information about the travel industry -- and stocks for companies in the travel industry. I wish you had included it in your summary.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how much an illness can ripple out in the economy, as you talk about with schools and day care centers, and also how hard it is to stop it. I'm hoping it won't be as bad as the 1918 epidemic, which they mentioned, which killed 50 million people worldwide.
