Shovels in the ground: Stimulus at work

http://money.cnn.com/2009/04/29/news/economy/Rhode_Island_stimulus/index.htm?postversion=2009042908

This article is about the federal stimulus funds, because of it Rhode Island's pockmarked Route 138 in Tiverton is getting repaved. The state's 97,000 food stamp recipients are getting more money. And some 2,000 local youths will have summer jobs. I choose it because it talks about the fact the stimulus is helping us more and more each day. I agree with it because whatever is helping the youth works for me. "Rhode Island has moved aggressively in participating in the Recovery Act, especially in those programs that help those most in need," said Gov. Donald Carcieri. "Transportation projects have an immediate impact on jobs and we are well ahead of schedule to use the available stimulus dollars." the article has been presented fairly. I would use this site again.

  2. Nyasia, This was a really long article with lots of good information. You just repeated the first paragraph or so. It also had information about New York in the map next to it, which would have been nice to have included in your post. I have to say I agree with you about CNN -- after reading a bunch of people's posts, they seem to have the most detailed coverage by far.
