This article is about how more and more women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year, and more and more women are becoming survivors, as well as BEING survivors for a longer amount of time. I chose this article because my great grandmother, and my grandmother had breast cancer. Luckily, my great grandmother survived but unfortunately my grandmother - one of my best friends - did not. I agree with what is talked about in this article because it is true how more types of cancer are just showing up randomly. Now there are also a lot of genetic issues with cancer; if you will pass it to your kids, if your grandmother had it, even if your great-great-grandmother had it. I think the information was presented fairly. This article did not insult anyone or show any racism. They only stated that the article was mostly about women, because breast cancer usually effects women. I would use this resource again if need be.

Andrea, I am so sorry about your grandmother. You picked a long, difficult article -- let me know if you need help with it. It raises some fascinating points about things to consider as the number of breast cancer survivors increases: lost wages, cost of follow-up treatment, loss to the economy, things for doctors to consider in treating their patients. Finish the post and your grade will go up.
